The tour starts with the pick-up from your hotel in Cusco between 3:30 and 4:00 a.m. Then, we will head to Ollantaytambo train station by tourist bus, where you will board the train that will take you to Aguas Calientes. The train ride lasts for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Throughout the journey, you will be able to appreciate beautiful landscapes with extensive fields of corn, livestock, camelids, mountains, and snow-capped peaks.
Upon arrival at Aguas Calientes train station, our guide will be waiting to take you to the bus station. We will then travel for 30 minutes to the Machu Picchu Sanctuary. After entering the Inca City of Machu Picchu, the guide will start the guided tour of the main attractions such as the guardian’s hut, the Temple of the Sun, the Intiwatana, the Temple of the Three Windows, the Sacred Plaza, the Temple of the Condor, the Sacred Rock, and others. Then, we will have some free time to take photographs and explore the site on our own.
After the visit to Machu Picchu, we will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included). In the afternoon, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo, where our transportation will be waiting to take you back to Cusco. You will spend the night in Cusco.
