Paracas - Ica - Huacachina
FULL DAY
PARACAS - ICA - HUACACHINA CHARACTERICS
Our tour begins with the pick-up from Paracas towards the Ballestas Islands, the largest maritime reserve in Peru and the second largest in South America. For this excursion, we will take a ride on the boat, and each participant will be provided with life jackets, ensuring appropriate distancing from other participants. Along the way, you will be able to see the Candelabro, a large geoglyph similar to the Nazca Lines. These islands are natural rock formations that host an important marine fauna, including large colonies of guano birds (guanay, booby, pelican, cormorant, tendrils, etc.). You will also be able to spot sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and dolphins.
Then, we will arrive in Ica for lunch and free time. You can enjoy some typical dishes like the “Pisco route”, duck with rice, dry soup, and among other dishes.

We will then visit the Nietto Pisco Winery for a tour and tasting session. You will learn about the process of making wine and have the opportunity to taste wines, creams, macerated products, and piscos for free. Those interested can make purchases.
Afterwards, we will visit the Huacachina Lagoon and Dunes. Legend has it that this lagoon was formed by the tears of a beautiful woman with green eyes surrounded by dunes and palm trees. You will have free time to explore and taste local delicacies such as chocotejas, tejas, and to buy handicrafts.
Our last stop will be in Chincha at the Garrafon Winery, where you can taste wines, cachina, and buy mamajuanas. You will also have the opportunity to taste some typical Chincha desserts such as tejas, chocotejas, water cookies, and tamalitos. Then, we will return to Lima.

lima - paracas
